Angel is the name he was given at birth and we kept it as a tie to his biological family and Latino heritage.
Aden is the name we gave him the first time we saw him as we were told he didn’t have a name yet. We picked Aden from a baby boy naming website and with this spelling it means “tiny and fiery” though he was only six days old and we knew nothing of his personality. If you have met our little Sagittarius you know tiny and fiery to be quite true.
And Aporta is now our shared family name.
There are no words to express our awe that we are forever a family. We prepared to say goodbye so many times and prayed for Angel’s right path, whether that was with us or not. Angel, you are our greatest blessing. You’ve cracked us open and shown us that true love has no bounds and true love will not shrink in the face of fear or uncertainty. You are our everything. Thank you to your sweet little soul for choosing us.
