just show up
I volunteered to teach yoga in my son’s preschool classroom next week. The teacher offered to split the class into two sessions as it would likely be chaotic.
Chaotic. Sometimes my mind is pretty effing chaotic when I get to my mat. Sometimes my inner life, sometimes my outer life. My to do list. My hair. My emotions.
And how honest. To admit you’re chaotic and to show up anyway.
Sure, preschoolers are a whole other level of chaotic. Different. Definitely more honest. And what I love about sharing this practice is that you can come as you are.
Please show up as you. No rearranging or filtering or hairbrush needed. Just you. That’s how the practice can serve us best.
Reminder to Self — just show up.
