I wrote this one year ago and every word still applies. Including Cadbury mini eggs.

How human of me —

To move through thirty different emotions before noon.

To choose to give my kid the iPad so I can get some time alone.

To change my mind. About a lot of things.

To eat a handful of Cadbury mini eggs with my morning coffee.

To hold both joy and grief at the same time.

To wonder if I am doing enough. Or too much.

To miss life as it was before and also not want to go back to life as it was before.

To pull my jeans out of my closet. Then put them back. Every. Single. Day.

To have another cup of coffee. Or another of whatever I want.

To decide that now is not the time to ___________.
