welcome.
I'm Mary Beth.
I help women come home to themselves.
Through somatic healing, nervous system education, mindful movement, and recovery, I guide women back to the wisdom that has been within them all along.
I'm a somatic practitioner, yoga teacher, writer, and founder of Embodied by MB, and I believe our bodies hold an intelligence that our minds often forget. In a world that teaches us to push harder, think more, and look outside ourselves for answers, my work is an invitation to slow down, soften, and listen inward.
Because healing doesn't come from trying harder.
It comes from learning to trust yourself again.
I used to believe the answers were somewhere outside of me.
For years, I searched for the next certification, achievement, or breakthrough that would finally help me feel at peace. I spent more than a decade teaching yoga around the world, studying healing, coaching, and personal growth. While every experience shaped me, the greatest transformation didn't come from doing more.
It came from slowing down enough to listen.
My recovery journey became one of my greatest teachers. It showed me that healing isn't about becoming someone new—it's about returning to who we've always been beneath perfectionism, people-pleasing, striving, and survival. Learning to trust my body changed everything.
Today, that understanding is the heartbeat of my work.
how i got here
what i believe
I don't believe women need another thing to fix themselves.
I believe they need spaces where they can finally exhale.
Through somatic practices, nervous system education, yoga, retreats and one-on-one support, I help women reconnect with themselves —not by becoming someone different, but by remembering who they already are.
Because when we come home to ourselves, everything changes.
We trust ourselves.
We create healthier relationships.
We move through life with more ease.
We stop performing and start living.
For more than two decades, I've had the privilege of teaching thousands of students around the world.
I've taught at Wanderlust Festivals, Kripalu, and 1440 Multiversity, appeared on the cover of Yoga Journal, created mentorship programs for yoga teachers, and worked with everyone from professional athletes to rehabilitation centers, homeless shelters, and the Down Syndrome Association of Los Angeles.
I've partnered with organizations including Amazon, Nike, Adidas, Lexus, Merrill Lynch, and Vital Proteins, and have contributed to Yoga Journal and other publications, though my greatest teachers have been my own lived experience, the remarkable people I've worked with and the quiet wisdom of the body itself.

BRANDS I’VE WORKED WITH
When I'm not teaching, you'll usually find me with a library book in one hand and a really good cup of coffee in the other. I recharge in the Colorado mountains where I live, on long walks with my bulldogs, or tucked into a cozy coffee shop with my journal. I love old-school hip hop, fresh flowers, Sunday mornings, meaningful conversations and creating simple rituals that make everyday life feel a little more sacred.
Connection, curiosity, embodiment and soulfulness aren't just values I teach — they're the way I try to live.
Whether you found your way here through yoga, somatic work, recovery, or simple curiosity, I hope this space feels like an exhale.
A place where you remember that you don't have to become someone else to heal.
You simply have to come home to yourself.
I'd be honored to walk alongside you.
and outside of my work
