why i love slow flow
With less than a month until my once-a-year virtual slow flow teacher training begins, I’ve been reflecting on why I love and need(!) slow flow yoga. Why it’s such a potent and powerful practice that allows me to still soften.
Slow flow is a love letter to my body and breath.
It’s the quiet rhythm of movement, the gentle unfolding of tension, the sacred art of slowness in a world that glorifies speed.
In the space between each pose, I meet myself again.
A deeper presence in the now.
A tender listening to what my body truly needs.
A soft surrender to the ebb and flow of life itself. Where I can tap back into my own unique rhythm and not the pace of others, the “shoulds,” the fast faced world around me.
Slow flow teaches me that there’s strength in stillness and power in grace. That slowing down is not an indulgence, but an embodied return to wholeness.
It’s my moving meditation, my quiet rebellion against the rush.
